IMF requires Ukraine to create an anti-corruption court

Specialized judges should be honest, independent and have special knowledge

Anticorruption reform is one of the key conditions for further cooperation between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund.

IMF representative Jost Ljungman expressed this opinion in an interview with the Ukrainian edition of the League.

"In 2015, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau was established. Now it is necessary to continue the reform, so that anti-corruption cases are immediately and legally impeccably dealt with in the courts. An anticorruption court is the best solution, "Ljungman said.

According to him, the procedures for the selection and appointment of anti-corruption judges should be very severe, and the ministers of Themis should be honest, independent and have knowledge of a set of issues related to corruption.

Recall, in Ukraine, six people were detained in the case of embezzlement of funds allocated for fortifications for the Ukrainian-Russian border.
