President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev on September 30.

The head of state said bilateral relations between the two countries were successfully developing in political, economic, security and other spheres, expanding economic and trade cooperation, and the import and export operations have a good dynamics.

Secretary of the Security Council Nikolay Patrushev conveyed greetings and best wishes of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to President Ilham Aliyev. Patrushev emphasized the successful development of cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan in the security field. "We are very pleased with the meeting with you, and attach great importance to our cooperation with the Security Council, and relations in this field are developing very consciously. We define the new threats that the Azerbaijan faces in the world and try to figure out the to fight them in bilateral ways. We are grateful to our Azerbaijani friends for their participation in multilateral meetings. We are interested in it."

The sides exchanged views on the issues of mutual interest.

The head of state expressed his gratitude for the greetings and best wishes of Russian President Vladimir Putin and asked N.Patrushev to convey his greetings and best wishes to the President of Russia.
