GUAM member countries are interested in further development of mutually beneficial cooperation with the US, reads a joint declaration adopted following the meeting in the GUAM-US format, which was held on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov also took part in the meeting.

GUAM member states and the US also have a common position on creating a broad security area in order to protect peace, stability and security in the region, according to the declaration.
