The speaker of the State Council (Parliament) of the Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is Holy to the inhabitants of the Peninsula.

“President Putin is that man, who for us has a sacred value — quoted Konstantinov, RIA “Novosti”. If for Russia it’s just the President, the leader of the country, the Crimea is a Holy man without exaggeration that came to the rescue in a difficult moment, when depended on him and our destiny.”

According to the politician, if not for the intervention of Putin, “here (in Crimea — ed.) gallop danced nationalists and the Crimea would be defeated”.
