

During the renovation work in the historic building of the Austrian Parliament, the builders discovered the busts of Adolf Hitler and the picture with his image.
As reported on September 16 Gazeta.ru, referring to derStandard, two busts of Hitler, four paintings and one bas-relief with his image were found in the basement. Speaker of the National Council of Austria Doris Bureson noted that the find underscores the importance of eliminating items from Nazi history in the parliament.
In the historical building of the parliament after the Anschluss of Austria in 1938 the Reichskommissariat for Unification was located, then the building was handed over to the NSDAP.
