One of the main reasons for his resignation, M. Goldenberg, called the initiative of the leadership and activists of Vaad on the transfer of the Holocaust museum outside of Babi Yar. As the community leader wrote with indignation, the leadership of Vaad "did not consider it necessary to reconcile this apostate opinion with the descendants of the deceased and the real custodians of this memory." "Thus, according to the idea of ​​modern re-enactors of the history of Ukraine, the symbol of the Holocaust for the whole world - Babi Yar through the efforts of Jewish" activists "categorically attempt to deprive this status," M.Goldenberg stressed.
The long-term head of Vaad, Joseph Zissels, preferred not to comment on this statement.
