Israel opens new sales offices in Africa

The Ministry of Economy intends to open two new trade missions in Africa - one in Kenya's capital Nairobi and another in the capital of Ghana, in Accra.

Representative offices should be opened as early as 2018.

According to Economy Minister Eli Cohen, this decision was taken at the initiative of the head of the government, Benjamin Netanyahu, after his last official visits to Africa.

The Ministry of Economy explained that Kenya is the most important country in the economic sense in East Africa, and the economy of Ghana is the most stable on this continent. In 2016, Israeli exports to Africa amounted to $ 800 million, with 13% of it accounted for Kenya and Ghana. The main export is minerals, agricultural products and electronics.
