The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine stated that it will increase the number of border patrols for the organization of the Hasidim pass, which will arrive for the celebration of Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) in the city of Uman in the Cherkasy region.
This year the holiday falls on September 20 - 22. Border guards expect "several tens of thousands of pilgrims". The State Border Guard Service stated that "they will make every effort to ensure that other travelers do not feel any inconvenience, and the design of pilgrims and worshipers was at the proper level". But what specific number of border guards will increase the outfits and whether additional checkpoints will be organized, they do not specify in the department.
At the same time, it is stated that the border guards of the separate checkpoint "Kiev", "which account for the bulk of the design of the pilgrims of Chassidim at Kiev airports," have already completed the main components of training. All business meetings were held with representatives of carriers to obtain preliminary information on the arrival of organized groups of persons, and practical training sessions were conducted between adjacent monitoring bodies.
A group of servicemen of the mobile border guard unit was assigned to strengthen and provide security services at the Boryspil and Zhulyany checkpoints.
