Syria and Israel have shown interest in the purchase of Russian tank support vehicles (BMPTs) of the "Terminator" type.
On September 7 the chief of the Main Automobile Armored Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexander Shevchenko told journalists. "Terminators," which in many respects have no analogues in the world, are designed to protect tanks from infantry of the enemy
Earlier, during the military-technical forum "Army-2017", the Ministry of Defense of Russia signed a contract with "Uralvagonzavod" to supply a batch of these vehicles. Prior to this, the BMPT "Terminator" was produced only for export.
"This year, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will receive a machine of a fundamentally new class - a battle machine supporting tanks, which has already been shown in interest by many countries, primarily Israel and Syria," Shevchenko stressed.
This statement was made on the eve of the events dedicated to the celebration of the tanker day, which is celebrated in the Russian Federation on September 10
