The investigation of WADA against 95 Russian athletes was stopped

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announced the termination of the investigation against 95 Russian athletes mentioned in the report of Richard McLaren.

According to the agency France Press, against 95 of the 96 sportsmen whose cases were considered, there was not enough evidence. This was stated by the Director General of WADA Olivier Niggli. The names of athletes are not mentioned.

Although this decision can strengthen the Kremlin's position, the Kremlin, which maintains that there was no state program to conceal the use of doping, Niggley said that the lack of evidence does not necessarily prove Russia's innocence. "The system was very well organized," Niggli said, "so years later the evidence is very limited."
