The military-political leadership of Israel decided to evacuate, in case of war with Hamas and Hezbollah, residents of the largest settlements of the southern and northern border strip - Sderota and Kiryat Shmona.
Apparently, a fundamentally new plan for the movement of a large group of people was developed, which had no precedent before.
We are talking about the evacuation of at least 65-70 thousand people (taking into account the inhabitants of smaller kibbutz and moshav people, located in the border areas).
The purpose of evacuation is to avoid a large number of casualties due to the intensive rocket and mortar fire of terrorists, as well as the possible penetration of the "commandos" of Hamas into the Western Negev through combat tunnels.
