Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman visited the September 12 exercises that the IDF conducts in the north of the country.

During the visit, Minister Lieberman listened to reports on the progress of the exercises and visited several units participating in them.
The Minister was accompanied by Lieutenant-General Gadi Aizenkot, Chief of the General Staff, Major General of Reserve Udi Adam, and Major General Yoel Stric, Commander of the Northern District.
"The only thing that can stop the next war is the power of the IDF and the power of deterrence. These exercises are an important component in preparing the IDF for the war in the north, if any, "the head of the Defense Ministry explained.
"I am happy to be convinced of readiness, perseverance and professionalism in the units themselves and among the commanders. I have no doubt that we and all of the region see and understand the capabilities and the strength of the IDF, "the Defense Minister stressed.
"These exercises are another reminder to all those who are making plans against the security of Israeli citizens. If the conflict begins, then the IDF will complete it with an unconditional victory, "Lieberman assured.
