This became possible after the commissioning of the decoupling "Rosemary" on the highway "Begin-Yug". The new denouement is the final stage of the Begin-South project. The cost of its construction was about 150 million shekels.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister of Transport noted that Begin-South is one of the largest transport projects implemented in the territory of Jerusalem in recent years.
It is 16 kilometers of highway with three lanes in each direction, four interchanges, ten bridges and two tunnels.
"The Begin highway is another stage of the transport revolution carried out by the Ministry of Transport throughout the country," Katz said, adding that the Ministry of Transport is currently promoting a project to extend the Tunnel Highway (Highway 60) from the Begin road to the Elazar intersection. The estimated cost of the project is about 850 million shekels. It is planned to create an additional lane in each direction, as well as a special lane for public transport. Expansion of the highway is designed to increase the capacity of the route.
