

The number of people employed in the national economy amounted to 3606 thousand people in June.
According to the Central Statistical Bureau, the June average wage is the highest in the last five years. Its magnitude was affected by the "Family-net" program, according to which the parents of children under the age of 5 returned retroactively the tax benefits from January 2017.
In April-June, the average salary in Israel grew by 3.5% year-on-year. In January-March, growth was 4.4%. At the same time, two thirds of the employed (66.4% - 2.398 million) are employed in sectors where salaries are below the national average.
The highest salaries, - an average of 17680 NIS, are fixed in the financial sphere. In the public sector, the average salary was 13112 NIS.
