“The oil and gas will be the dominant sources of energy mix in the coming decades”, said the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of energy giant BP Robert Dudley.

“But today, the energy mix is shifting, driven by technological improvements and environmental concerns. We will also need to adapt to the changing environment of fuel mix shifting to the gradual decarbonization of the fuel mix. The natural gas demand will be leading in the coming years and our portfolio is rapidly shifting towards the natural gas. We are currently in a new oil price environment and we need to implement a new approach in order to maintain the competitiveness in the market, the CEO said.”

The oil giant BP will be marking 25th anniversary of its activity in Azerbaijan this year, which holds 35,8 % shares of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil Project, 30,10 % of Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan and 28,8 % of Southern Caucasus Pipeline Project.
