After major overhaul, offices of the Motor Transport Registration Office (Misrad Hari-shushi) in Holon were opened to receive citizens. In addition, the office hours of the Office throughout the country have been extended.
According to a departmental press release, the renovation of the offices of the Office in Holon is part of an extensive program of the Ministry of Transport to improve the conditions for the reception and servicing of visitors in branches throughout the country.
As part of the program, it is planned to transfer part of the Office's offices to more spacious and modern premises. In other branches, repairs are planned.
On Tuesday, September 5, in Ashdod (Merkaz Zimer) a new branch of the Motor Transport Registration Department will open. A more spacious and comfortable room will replace the offices of the Office in the Canyon "Sea Mall".
In connection with the move, on Monday, September 4, the reception of citizens in the office of the Office in Ashdod will not be carried out. The office will resume on Tuesday, September 5 (Merkaz Zimer).

In addition, as mentioned earlier, since September 3, in all Israeli post offices, it is possible to obtain a license for owning a vehicle, which also performs the functions of a technical passport ("richayon rechov"). The innovation is available in the framework of expanding the range of services provided to drivers in postal branches of the country.
Speaking about the expansion of the service, the Minister of Transport and Intelligence Israel Katz said: "Providing the possibility of obtaining a driver's license and license for a vehicle at the post offices of the country will significantly improve the level of service for drivers. This will save them time and reduce queues in the offices of the Office of Motor Vehicle Registration. "
Recall that about two weeks ago, the Ministry of Transport announced that a new service (obtaining a license to own a vehicle) was introduced in 14 postal branches of Israel. And earlier - in May 2017, a service appeared that allows drivers to get a new driver's license in 700 post offices in Israel (Doar Israel).
The innovation can be used by those drivers whose validity period for a vehicle license (technical passport) or driver's license has expired. The service also concerns new documents (listed above) sent by the Ministry of Transport to the postal address, but not reach the addressee, and is relevant for drivers whose document was lost, stolen or damaged.
If necessary, a temporary driving license can be obtained at the post office. Permanent driver's license (plastic card) is sent later to the driver's address registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. For registration of documents it is necessary to provide driver's identity card.
Citizens whose driver's license or vehicle license is "frozen" (the Office of Court Bailiffs, the court, etc.) will not be able to use the new service. Also at the post office there will be no possibility to make changes to the driver's personal data or vehicle specifications in the document.
For the convenience of drivers, you can pre-order a queue for visiting the post office by telephone 171 (the Israeli Postal Service), via the Doar Israel website or the smartphone application of the same name
