17.7% of the population of Israel are Muslims

The average number of children a Muslim woman gives birth in her life has decreased from 4.7 in 2000 to 3.29 in 2016. The Jewish woman in the same year gives birth to 3.16 children (Christian women - 2.05 children, Druze - 2.21).
35% of the Muslim population are under the age of 14 (534.3 thousand) and only 3.9% - at the age of more than 65 years (59.8 thousand).
The number of unemployed in the working Muslim sector is 6.7%, while in the Jewish, Christian and Druze - 4.6%, 4.4% and 6.2% respectively
