In three years, Israel will create for India a defensive anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) of medium range based on the latest Israeli technology.

As reported on August 27 issuing in Delhi newspaper Business Standard, Indian Defense Research Corporation (DRDO) has already signed an agreement with the concern of the Aerospace Industries of Israel (Israel Aerospace Industries).

The new defensive complex is known as the MRSAM system.

It is designed to destroy ballistic missiles, as well as combat aircraft, helicopters and drones, the radius of destruction is up to 70 km.

Not only the land forces of India, but also its aviation and fleet will be equipped with new weapons.

The estimated value of the deal is about $ 2.5 billion.

Only within the framework of the "sea" version of the agreement Israel will supply India with 40 systems of fire and 200 missiles.
