The Israeli police arrested a 32-year-old resident of the country on suspicion of extortion from one of the country's largest banks. The extortionist threatened to lay out a database of clients in the network if he was not paid a ransom in bitcoins.

The swindler expected to receive from the bank bitkoynov sum of one million shekels.

The suspect also tried to blackmail other major Israeli companies in the same way.
