In Israel, develop an unmanned aerial vehicle, the maximum flight duration of which will be more than 30 hours.
The Impact 1300 unmanned aerial vehicle is being developed by the Israeli company Meteor Aerospace. It is assumed that the UAV will have a maximum flight duration of more than 30 hours and will be able to climb to a height of more than 9 thousand meters. The take-off mass of the apparatus will be about 1,300 kg.
Impact 1300 is created on a two-beam scheme with a pushing screw. It will be equipped with an engine from light-engine aircraft of general aviation, as well as the possibility of installing a diesel engine. It has a three-column retractable landing gear.
Different equipment can be installed on a UAV, for example, an optoelectronic observation system or a synthetic aperture radar.
It is also reported that the system will be based on those developments that were made in the process of creating a lighter Impact 700 drone. Flight tests of the new UAV are planned for 2019.
Israel is one of the world leaders in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles of long flight duration. Among the leading companies in the industry are Israeli companies such as Elbit Systems and Israel Aerospace Industries ("Taasiya Avirit").
