The reform is being prepared by the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance - in the struggle to reduce the cost of living.
To this end, a special commission has been set up, which will determine the parameters of restrictions for imports by private individuals. It is assumed that the customs authorizes the possibility of importing more goods for personal consumption.
Also, it is planned to seriously soften the rules for the import of spare parts for vehicles - which will sharply reduce their cost in the domestic Israeli market. Currently, the Ministry of Transport has already reduced the number of spare parts that require its special permission, from 20 thousand to 70. Now it is planned to introduce duty-free import, which will make the order of spare parts abroad by private persons economically justified.
