On Sunday, August 20, within the framework of the Summer VDNKh educational program, the festival "Day of Jewish Culture" will be held, organized jointly with the Jewish Museum and the Center for Tolerance. In the lecture hall of the museum and exhibition center "Worker and Collective Farm Girl" visitors can get acquainted with the history, traditions, religious customs and heritage of the ancient people.
The guests of the event are waiting for communication with experts, lectures, competitions and prize drawing. The program of the festival includes a lecture "Jewish Art: the difficulties of translation", which is devoted to the traditional Jewish art, its images and symbols. On the Day of Jewish culture, guests can try themselves in the Jewish dance art, see its variations and find out how the Jewish dance has changed over the last hundred years. In the program circular, linear and pair dances - everyone will be able to learn, regardless of age and level of preparation. Participants of the master class for children "Chagall Stained-glass windows" will try to reveal the secret of M.Shagal's creativity and find a language in which it is possible to speak with the whole world.
At the culinary master class, guests of the festival will learn how to prepare a tabula salad and a snack of babaganush.
