

On Tuesday, August 15, 233 new immigrants from North America arrived in Israel on the flight "Aliyah Flight 2017", among them was Talia Friedman, the daughter of the American ambassador in the Jewish state, David Friedman.
The US ambassador spoke at the meeting of this group of repatriates and said that he was proud of his daughter, who had always dreamed of living in Israel. Talia, according to the media, has a medical education.
Many members of this group have repatriated under the program "Alia Le-Zahal" and plan to soon begin their service in the Israeli army.
The repatriation was carried out with the support of the "Sokhnut", the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, as well as the organization "Nefesh Be-nefesh". The new immigrants were addressed by the head of the Jewish Agency Natan Sharansky, the chief Ashkenazi rabbi of Israel David Lau, the leader of the opposition party "Yesh Atid" Yair Lapid and others.
