Parliament of Crimea was allowed to write off debts of citizens to Ukrainian banks

The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, approved a bill that gives the parliament the right to release the residents of the republic from payments on loans taken from Ukrainian banks.

According to the REGNUM news agency, after the adoption of the law, it will completely annul debts of up to five million rubles. Debts in excess of this amount will be canceled by 20% on redemption of 5%. It is specified that the bill separately takes into account the interests of disabled people, dependents and other socially unprotected categories of citizens.

The bill was developed with the participation of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Crimea and the Main State Legal Department of the Presidential Administration.
