The condition for this is the presence of a foreign driver's license valid for at least 5 years.

The validity of the driver's license for repatriates and citizens with the status "Toshav Hozar" will be similar to the validity period of ordinary Israeli rights.
In addition, the validity of driving licenses for foreign citizens will be extended to 5 years, in accordance with the validity of the residence visa in Israel. Previously, foreigners, including foreign workers, were required to personally appear at the offices of the Motor Vehicle Registration Authority several times a year to renew their driving licenses.
