The CNN television channel broke off the contract with political observer Jeffrey Lord, who used the Nazi greeting in his Twitter microblogging.
Consistent with conservative views, Lord used the slogan Sieg Heil! In an address to the head of the liberal group Media Matters for America, triggering a storm of indignation and accusations of anti-Semitism. Immediate dismissal of the columnist was demanded, in particular, by the center of tolerance named after Anne Frank.
 The journalist himself stated that his message was misunderstood. According to him, he ridiculed the Nazis, and did not imitate them. Jeff Lord, who is a supporter of Donald Trump, regularly defended his position on CNN, with whom the US president himself for several months has continued a public conflict. In June, when three journalists were fired from the TV channel for unreliable information in the material about the "Russian trace", Trump proposed to rename CNN into the "Fake news network". And in early July, Trump said that CNN is engaged in "low-grade journalism."
