Jordan asks Israel not to return embassy staff

The Jordanian authorities formally asked the Israeli side not to hurry with the return of diplomatic personnel.

The Jordanian government is still outraged by the actions of the Israeli Prime Minister Binyamina Netaniyagu, who has personally met with the embassy security officer, shot dead two Jordanians, said the radio station "Kan Bet."

Amman asked not to return to Jerusalem diplomats in the near future because of the tension in the bilateral relations.

Israeli sources earlier reported that Jordan insists on conducting a thorough investigation of the incident at the embassy.

It was recently reported that the Israeli police will verify this incident.

It should be reminded that on 23 July during the replacement of furniture in the apartment next to guard the embassy one of the workers, Muhammad Dzhavavde attacked him and stabbed with a screwdriver. Defending himself, he shot Javavde. In the same incident, Dr. Bashar Hamarne, owner of the apartment, died. Probably, a random bullet hit him.

After the incident, the Jordanian authorities for more than a day did not allow personnel to leave the Amman embassy. Currently, the Israeli ambassador has not yet returned to Jordan, and it is unclear when it will happen.
