

43-year-old Doody (David) The Zohar from Haifa, an Israeli Air Force pilot, a reserve major, died Monday, August 7, in the evening, when the Apache helicopter crashed during a training flight.
The co-pilot received very serious injuries and was taken to the Soroca hospital in Beersheba.
The crash happened at 21:01. The crew managed to report on technical malfunctions, and after a few seconds the helicopter crashed at the Ramon base in the Negev.
The Air Force commander of the IDF, Major-General Amir Eshel, said that a group of experts headed by an officer with the rank of colonel will be established to study the circumstances of the incident.
Eshel has instructed to cancel all flights of Apache before the investigation is completed.
Native Dudi (David) Zohar - the pilot who died in the crash of the Apache helicopter, agreed that he became a donor of organs, in particular, the cornea of the eye.
43-year-old reserve major Dudi Zohar will be buried today at 6:30 pm in the military cemetery in Haifa.
Representatives of the media, at the request of the family, will not be admitted to the funeral. +
