Representatives of the Foreign Ministry confirmed that Nada Amin, an Iranian journalist who received political asylum in Israel, did not leave Turkey for Israel. Also, at the moment, the Office checks reports on the arrest of a media employee.
Allegedly, 32-year-old Amin was arrested while trying to leave Turkey.
Earlier, Interior Minister Aryeh Deri granted political asylum to the journalist after reports appeared that the Turkish authorities intend to deport her to Iran.
On Monday, August 7, Nada Amin was supposed to fly from Turkey to Israel. However, it was not among the passengers of the flight that flew from Istanbul to Tel Aviv in the morning.
Nada Amin is known in the past, as an opponent of the regime, left Iran in 2015. All this time she lived in Turkey.
