

This summer, approximately 150 volunteers from abroad and new immigrants from 12 countries, about 120 young men and 30 girls will be invited to the IDF.
The largest number of recruits came from the US - about 70 people, about 60 came from France, about 10 from Britain.
5 people arrived from South Africa, 3 from Belgium and 3 from Mexico, 2 from Australia, 2 from Canada, 1 from Austria.
For the first time in the IDF history, volunteers from Honduras and Thailand will be called this year.
In early August, the programs for preparing for mobilization in the IDF, conducted by the defense and social department in conjunction with the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, were completed.
Preparatory programs include physical and psychological training for the army service, trips around the country, visits to museums and cultural heritage sites, learning Hebrew and much more.
The purpose of these programs is to familiarize future soldiers with the army, the nature and conditions of service, as well as explaining their rights as a solitary soldier.
